We thoroughly inspect your property, check for drainage issues, soft spots, and obstacles. Utility companies are contacted to mark underground lines, and we review property surveys to ensure everything stays within legal boundaries.
All existing surface materials — grass, dirt, broken asphalt, or concrete — are removed and carted away. Proper excavation is critical for drainage and ensures a long-lasting final product that won't settle or crack prematurely.
A 4-6 inch layer of RCA (Recycled Concrete Aggregate) stone blend is laid, graded for drainage pitch, and power-compacted with an 8-ton roller. This creates a rock-solid, water-resistant foundation that prevents future settling.
Depending on soil conditions, the sub-base may need 1 day to 2 months to settle naturally before paving begins. Rushing this step is a common shortcut that leads to cracking — we never skip it.
Hot commercial-grade asphalt is laid at 2-3 inches deep, carefully compacted and smoothed to match your design specs. Edges are finished with stone, brick, or Belgium block for a polished, professional appearance.
We recommend waiting at least 72 hours before driving on your new surface. We clean up the entire work area, haul away all debris, and walk you through care instructions to maximize the life of your new asphalt.
